An Extraordinary Stroke of Genius for Aesthetes and Advocates of Recycling...Papier Mache "Trophies"
Made in Haiti by local artisans and acquired through a noteworthy Fair Trade organization, these "trophies" are a brilliant example of "outside the box" art pieces. Each one is individually hand-crafted using old cement bags and discarded book pages (written in French we may add!!). The zebras and giraffes are then lovingly painted to produce the stripes and spots. Just like the living species, no two are the same. The rhino has a noble yet playful expression that is charming to all animal-lovers young and old. Much to the delight of my daughters I recently hung a zebra in my kitchen. They named her Lucy.
